Project Goals
Create a concept app for users to visualize Tesla cars on their phone or iPad to aid in their purchasing decision.
Research
Because Tesla had closed the majority of its physical stores in the United States, users turned to the Tesla website for research on the cars. However, because users are unable to see the actual cars in person, it is difficult to visualize the cars’ features and make a buying decision.
Strategy
Our goal was to design an immersive, tangible experience using AR for users to visualize the car in real time. We implemented AR functionality for the user to customize the car and visualize the interior in real-time.
Final Product
A Tesla car showroom AR app that includes voice commands to change the color of the car, to start the engine, and to open the driver’s door.
